A joint project of BreastfeedLA, Kentec Medical Inc. and Mothers’ Milk Bank of San Jose

Call for Site Applications


BreastfeedLA with funding from Kentec Medical Inc., has partnered with the Mothers’ Milk Bank of San Jose (MMBSJ) to launch the Milk Collections Sites Project. We are currently recruiting up to 4 collection sites within Los Angeles County to receive technical support and equipment to become a Milk Collection Site. The purpose of establishing local milk collection sites (depots) is to normalize breastfeeding, make communities aware of the need for donated breast milk and make the process of donating breastmilk easier for local mothers.

Site visits/hospital selection June 1 – June 28, 2017
Announcement of awards June 30, 2017
Project duration TA available through March 7, 2018 with the understanding that facilities will continue to sustain the collection site once TA has ended for at least one additional year.
