Session Description
While the in-person lactation visit will always remain crucial, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the quick implementation of telelactation. It’s bound to stay in practice and the lactation community must become proficient in its use. Physical distance between parents and lactation consultants, unreliable transportation, and the lack of available lactation consultants are real problems that parents have to navigate when seeking support. The use of telelactation can provide access to much needed care when it would have been impossible. This webinar will
provide timely telelactation counseling strategies with clinical examples on the effectiveness of its use.
Objectives
- Explain how the lactation community can implement telelactation
- Site examples of the current use of telelactation in the United States
- Give clinical examples of the effective use of telelactation
